Terms of Service

Important Notice & Food Safety: YumGPT generates recipes and cooking guidance using artificial intelligence. You are responsible for ensuring safe food preparation, checking ingredient allergens, verifying safe internal meat/poultry temperatures, and exercising standard kitchen precautions.

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the YumGPT mobile application, server APIs, or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. AI Cooking & Nutritional Disclaimer

YumGPT utilizes artificial intelligence models to interpret culinary queries, translate recipes, suggest ingredient substitutes, and calculate nutritional estimates.

  • Food Safety & Allergens: The user assumes sole responsibility for inspecting all food ingredients for allergens, spoilage, cross-contamination, and expiration dates. AI outputs should not override your personal judgment or certified food hygiene standards.
  • Nutritional Information: Caloric, macronutrient, and micronutrient calculations generated by the AI are approximate estimates provided solely for educational and entertainment purposes, not medical or clinical dietary advice.
  • Kitchen Hazards: Users must exercise appropriate safety precautions when using knives, open flames, hot oils, pressurized cookers, or kitchen appliances.

3. In-App Subscriptions & Purchases

YumGPT offers both a Free tier with daily usage limits and a paid YumGPT Pro subscription that unlocks unlimited AI Chef chat, multimodal vision recognition, and spoken cook mode audio.

  • Billing & Renewal: Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis through Google Play or Apple App Store and automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
  • Free Trials: If you are offered a Free Trial, your account will be granted Pro access for the specified duration. Once the trial concludes, standard Free tier limits apply unless you purchase a subscription.
  • Refunds: Refund requests for in-app purchases and subscriptions are handled directly by Google Play or Apple App Store according to their respective refund policies.
  • Fair Use Policy & High-Volume Quotas: "Unlimited" Pro benefits include generous daily AI capacity (typically 100+ requests per day per feature) designed to easily cover extensive daily home cooking while protecting system infrastructure against automated scraping or abuse. If you have unique culinary, professional, or high-volume requirements, please contact our support team at support@yumgpt.app with your use case.

4. User Content & Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any custom recipes, photos, or reviews you create or submit within YumGPT. By submitting content to public community databases or shared links, you grant YumGPT a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and format that content for the operation of the Service.

All trademarks, logos, visual designs, software code, and AI synthesis architectures are the exclusive intellectual property of YumGPT Enterprise.

5. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to generate harmful, abusive, or hazardous content.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the application binary or server endpoints.
  • Perform automated scraping, denial-of-service attacks, or attempt to forge device identifiers to bypass quota limitations.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YumGPT and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to culinary mishaps, allergic reactions, foodborne illness, or device malfunctions.

7. Termination & Governing Law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these Terms or engages in fraudulent behavior. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
